The Pharmacological Sciences and Molecular Medicine Track offers the opportunity for students to use the tools of genetics, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, and other disciplines to investigate the mechanisms of disease pathogenesis and the molecular actions of the drugs that treat these diseases and to apply these findings to advances in diagnosis and treatment. The faculty in this interdisciplinary Track are drawn from many departments, including Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, Genetics, Cellular and Molecular Physiology, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Psychiatry.

"One aspect of the Graduate School which I appreciate is the overall sense of community felt by many of the students. The administration makes a strong effort to foster an intimate, connected graduate body." - Tyler Ames, Molecular Cell Biology, Genetics & Development
