Measuring

Provide young child
with opportunities to feel and handle items of different
size and weight such as: an apple, cans, toys, rocks, or
marbles. Compare the items and talk about which one is bigger?
Which one is heavier?
Fun activities to do with children
- Make instant pudding.
Have the child do the measuring.
- Have a child help
you bake, either from a mix or scratch, a cake, muffins,
pancakes, or cookies are some favorites. Ask the child
to do the measuring.
