Dr. C. Robert Bernardino

Dr. Bernardino joined the Yale University School of Medicine on May 1, 2007 as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery. His clinical practice of oculoplastics includes reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and orbit. He has special interests in eyelid and orbital tumors, thyroid eye disease, and rehabilitation of the congenital and acquired loss of an eye.

Dr. Bernardino serves on the editorial board of Review of Ophthalmology and as a contributor to Medscape’s Viewpoints. He also served as scientific reviewer for multiple journals including Ophthalmology  and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has authored multiple scientific abstracts, articles, and book chapters in oculoplastics.

He is an active fellow in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American College of Surgeons. He is also member of the American Medical Association, and the Association of Philippine Ophthalmologists in America.
