Radiologist in Thoracic Imaging
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology of the Yale University
School of Medicine is seeking a board eligible/board certified radiologist with additional experience or fellowship training in chest imaging to join the section of Thoracic Radiology. The section currently includes five faculty members who practice and teach thoracic radiology to medical students, residents, and fellows. There is ample opportunity for scholarly activity and professional development.
Yale Diagnostic Radiology provides an excellent working environment, and the Thoracic Radiology section enjoys a close working relationship with world-renowned pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and subspecialists in other fields of medicine. Interdisciplinary conferences encompass a broad spectrum of comprehensive lung programs, including interstitial lung disease, COPD, general pulmonary pathology, and lung cancer.
The Department is fully digital and enjoys two 64DCT and three 16DCT CT scanners, one 3.0T and four 1.5T MR scanners, and one 16 slice PET-CT scanner. A major expansion of Yale-New Haven Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2009 and will be accompanied by an increase in the number of CT and MR scanners by approximately 50%. In addition, the Diagnostic Radiology residency program will expand from 28 to 38 residents over the next four years.

Neuroradiologist

Neuroradiology/Neurotranslational Research Scientist
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine is seeking a new faculty member to join an active research program in neuroradiology. As a translational researcher for the neurosciences, the applicant will collaborate with existing programs in MR imaging, MR spectroscopy, CT, MR physics, image analysis, brain physiology and metabolism. The applicant must have an accomplished record of research and the ability to establish an independent research program in magnetic resonance imaging or other clinically relevant neuro imaging modality. Experience in or the ability to foster collegiality and collaboration in an academic environment is required.
Yale University provides a rich environment for collaborative research across Departments. Applicants will have full access to resources of the Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC), including: large bore 1.5T, 3T, 4T and 7T magnets dedicated for research and spectroscopy imaging studies, and clinical units, including 1.5 T and 3T magnets. Significant additional funding for personnel and laboratory time is available. Candidates preferably should be board certified in Radiology, possess an M.D. degree, and must be eligible for licensure in the State of Connecticut.

Assistant Professor in Nuclear Medicine
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine is seeking a junior faculty member in the Nuclear Medicine section to execute and interpret clinical studies (including PET/CT studies), to teach residents and fellows, and to design and conduct research studies in nuclear and molecular imaging with an opportunity to collaborate with our research PET center. Candidates must be ABNM eligible or certified. Successful candidates must have an in-depth basic understanding of general nuclear medicine studies, be able to handle a high volume of thyroid cancer therapies, and provide high quality reporting of PET/CT scans. Successful candidates are expected to devote dedicated time focused on high quality clinical service and teaching.
