  1. The YSPH Alumni Speaker Series is a program designed to connect students with talented and experienced alumni, to learn about careers in public health. OAA launched this lunchtime series last year and it quickly became very popular among students. The Alumni Speaker Series is a perfect way to showcase alumni talent and enhance the connection between students (our future alumni!) and alumni.

The series returns this fall with an impressive roster of speakers:

  • September 25, 2009: Ashika Severin Brinkley, MPH ‘05, Project Director, New Haven Asthma Initiative, New Haven Health Department; and a 2009 CT Health Foundation Fellow.
  • October 16, 2009: Scott D. Stratton, MPH ‘82, Vice President, Integrated Informatics, Medco Health Solutions, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
  • November 13, 2009: Julio A. Urbina, PhD,  MPH ‘92, Director, Healthy Aging Program, Fan Fox and Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, New York City

A Call for Alumni Speakers: If you live within 2 hours of New Haven, or plan to be in the area for other reasons, and would like to share your experiences and expertise with YSPH students, please email us: ysph.alumni@yale.edu.  We look forward to hearing from you!
