United Kingdom Professional Development Certificate Program
Yale University and the UK-based South Essex Partnership National
Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust (SEPT) have forged a partnership
to deliver a Professional Development Program in International
Healthcare Management.
The program is designed to catalyze a new mindset among NHS health
care managers and equip them with the management tools to succeed in
the new financial and operational framework of the NHS.
The programs desgined for chief exectuives of the NHS system aims to:
- Provide an analytical framework to help leaders and managers transform organizations from the current
NHS structure to a far more competitive, dynamic and evolving health care marketplace
- Provide didactic and experiential learning opportunities for managers to learn about and apply contemporary
management tools such as systems thinking, quality improvement through process redesign, decision
making under risk and change management
- Highlight, through the use of case studies, the multidisciplinary nature of key management challenges
