Directions and Parking

The Epidemiology and Public Health Library is located at 47 College Street, across the street from the Epidemiology and Public Health building at 60 College Street. The library is on the lower level.  A Yale Medical Center ID card is needed to unlock the street entrance.  Alternatively, use the security telephone next to the entrance to call the EPH Library to be admitted between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM.  After 5:00 and on weekends, dial the Security Department (5-5555) to request admittance.



From downtown New Haven:

From the New Haven Green, go south on College Street.  Cross the bridge that overpasses the highway (Route 34 Connector).  The College Plaza building is the first building on the left after crossing the bridge.
The entrance to the library is at #47, the entrance at the center of the building.

Parking:
Metered parking is available on College Street in front of or across the street from the library.  Do not park in unmetered spaces on the side streets without a local permit.

Hourly parking is available in the ProPark lot adjacent to the College Plaza building.

Driving to New Haven:

I-95 from East and West: Exit 47 – Downtown New Haven.  Take Rt. 34 Connector.  From the connector, take exit 2.  At traffic light, turn left onto College Street.  Cross over bridge. The library is in the first building on the left.
 
I-91 from NORTH: Take exit 1 – Downtown New Haven onto the Route 34 connector.  From the connector, take exit 2.  At traffic light, turn left onto College Street.  Cross over bridge.  The library is in the first building on the left.

Wilbur Cross Parkway from North:  Exit 61 onto Whitney Avenue through New Haven.  Right on Chapel Street and left on College Street. Cross over bridge.  The library is in the first building on the left.

Flying or taking the train:

Airport Information: New Haven is located on the shore of Long Island Sound. The city is served by Tweed-New Haven Airport, which offers connections through New York, Chicago, and other regional hubs. Currently the only jet service is through Chicago. The closest international airports are New York City's LaGuardia and Kennedy airports, Newark International, and Hartford/Springfield's Bradley International. Bus service to New Haven is available at each of those airports.

Train Information: AmTrak has daily service to New Haven's Union Station from Boston and Washington, DC via New York's Penn Station. Metro North has hourly service from New York's Grand Central Station.
