The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Yale University is accepting applications for a senior position, Associate or Full Professor, to develop and lead its Analytical Sciences Unit.  The Unit is part of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation which has received a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or a closely related field.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in developing, applying and collaborating on clinical studies, including clinical trials. The Division of Biostatistics has strengths in epidemiologic methods, clinical trials, genetics, genomics, proteomics and spatial statistics.  The faculty has a vibrant collaborative research program with Departments throughout the School of Medicine and the University.  The Analytical Sciences Unit will include biostatisticians, epidemiologists and health economists with appointments in the School of Public Health and it will also work closely with the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation to provide the infrastructure for clinical research and the nexus for nurturing the interaction between clinical and methodological scientists.
