Welcome to the Yale University Section of Digestive Diseases website. Our program has a long history of excellence in clinical care, research and education. Since forming one of the nation's first sections of hepatology and then gastroenterology over 50 years ago, the Yale Digestive Diseases Section has had an enduring and continuing impact on fundamental and clinical investigation in digestive and liver disorders. A recent symposium highlighted the contributions of some of our more distinguished alumni.
We currently offer comprehensive clinical and research programs in liver disease and transplantation, inflammatory bowel disease, interventional endoscopy, esophageal and small bowel disorders, nutrition, pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal malignancies.
The Section's nationally and internationally recognized faculty is committed to advancing the science and practice of gastroenterology and hepatology by translating fundamental discoveries in the laboratory into advanced, state-of-the-art patient care.
