Martin H. Floch, M.D. is a Master of the American College of Gastroenterology and Editor of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology. He had been Chairman of Medicine and Founding Chief of Gastroenterology in Norwalk and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, He was in private practice, but now joins the full time Yale faculty as a practicing gastroenterologist in the section of Digestive Diseases. His clinical expertise is in diseases of the intestine including inflammatory bowel disease (colitis and Ileitis), irritable bowel syndrome, diseases of malabsorption and malnutrition such as celiac disease and short bowel syndrome, and the new capsule endoscopy. He has just authored a full text in GI, Netters Gastroenterology, and also published Diet and Nutrition Therapy in Gastroenterology. The latter establishing his interest and expertise in the field of nutrition and how it relates to digestive diseases.
