Cover: Demonstration of a lack of colocalization of MHC class II molecules with astrocytes in the presence of transgene expressed interferon-[gamma] by confocal microscopic analysis. MBP-IFN-[gamma] transgenic mice were sacrificed at 12 weeks of age, and cryocut brain sections were double stained for Immunofluorescence and analysed by laser scanning confocal microscopy. This figure is a merged image taken from a section of brain cortex stained for astrocytes and MHC using antibodies to MHC class I or II (green) and GFAP (red, astrocyte-specific). Any areas of colocalization of MHC and GFAP are presented in yellow. See article by Horwitz et al.
