The Krause laboratory studies the engraftment of bone marrow derived cells as epithelial cells in the lung. Pictured here is a WT lung stained in red for cytokeratin, which is found uniquely on epithelial cells in the lung, and in green for pro-surfactant protein C, which is found uniquely in type II pneumocytes in the lung. Nuclei (blue) are stained with DAPI.
