Continually adapting to the latest technologies, the library offers wireless
and remote access to its electronic resources, a searchable catalog of Yale theses,
and cutting-edge software e.g. the anatomy program VH Dissector Pro.

of the Best Collections of History of Medicine in the World

Founded
in 1940, the Historical Medical Library contains over 100,000 printed
volumes ranging from 325 incunabula (books before 1500) to early
20th century books and journals. Special collections include
Vesalius,
Harvey Boyle, Inoculation/ Vaccination, the Clements C. Fry
Collection,
and the Edward C. Streeter Collection of Weights and Measures.
