Help for Using Diagnostic Reasoning (DxR) at Yale

Logging In

You will need to provide a login and password in order to access Diagnostic Reasoning (DxR). Your login AND password are both your Net ID. (This means enter your Net ID in both boxes, not your Net ID and Net ID password).
If you have questions about logging into DxR, please contact Judy Spak, Instructional Technology Coordinator at the library.

General Information

Probably the best source of help for using Diagnostic Reasoning is DxR Clinician Online Help. This site answers some basic questions concerning the use of DxR. Other information provided includes browser requirements and an overview of the program. There is also a new student help manual. Click here to download the PDF formatted manual.

Plug-Ins and Helper Applications

You will need the latest versions of certain programs (including Quicktime) in order to use DxR the most effectively. Cookies and javascript MUST be enabled on your browser as well. You can find links to download sites from the DxR Clinician Online Help site listed above.. If you are using a computer in the Medical Library or CRL, you don't need to worry about these plug-ins. They should already be installed on the public machines.
