Find It Fast!

A series of video tutorials on the various evidence-based practice (EBP) information resources. The series is called "Find It Fast" because all of these resources may help you find clinical information faster. The first three episodes will explain some basic terminologies and theories used in this series of tutorials. Then the following EBP resources will be demoed: the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, ACP's PIER, Clinical Evidence, ACP Journal Club, the "Evidence-based ..." series of journals, Clinical Queries in MEDLINE and the EBP meta-search engine TRIP.

Ovid SP Essential Training

Ovid SP is the new search interface from Ovid which is scheduled to replace the current Ovid search interface soon. These tutorials teach the basic skills of conducting effective searches in Ovid SP using MEDLINE as an example.

Video Tutorial Podcast

Think of our podcast as a regular video show on how to use the resources, services and research tools available at the Medical Library. The show consists of many "episodes". You can watch these videos on your computer, or your iPods with video capabilities, completely free of charge.

To watch these videos, you will need to "subscribe" to the podcast feed using a "podcatcher" application such as iTunes. After you subscribe, each time you launch iTunes, it will automatically check if new episodes are available, and if yes, it will download the most recent episode to your computer for you to watch. Then you can sync your video iPods with iTunes to get the videos onto your iPod for watching on the go.
