Citation Analysis with the Web of Science

This series of tutorials demonstrate how to use the Web of Science as a citation tracking and analysis tool. The first episode is an introduction, and then the "General Search", "Author Finder", and "Cited Reference Search" functions are demonstrated.

  This video demonstrates how to use the "general search" interface to find citing articles for a known article. It also shows how to run some simple analyses on the citing articles, how to set up auto alert for the citing articles, and how to find the citation list of any given article in the Web of Science.

  This video demonstrates how to use the "Author Finder" interface in the Web of Science to find a known author, the articles that the author has published, and the articles that cite the author's articles. It also demonstrates the "Create Citation Report" function of the Web of Science.

• Citation Analysis with the Web of Science #4: Cited Reference Search
  This video demonstrates how to use the "Cited Reference Search" function of the Web of Science to find cited articles with more control. This function is especially useful to find cited articles that are not published within the Web of Science coverage time span or not published in one of the journals indexed by the Web of Science. Also it is very useful in finding articles that have been cited incorrectly.
