Finding E-Books at YaleLast updated 2008-08-20 10:30:48 The E-Books Database is designed to provide quick and easy access to the online book collection of the Library. This tutorial will demonstrate how to search or browse the E-Books Database. ScenarioLet's say you want to use the text book Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine. Since the book itself is too heavy to carry, you'd rather use the online version of it. Accessing the E-Books DatabaseYou can easily access the E-Books Database from the Medical Library home page. There is a link under "Journals and Books" in the “Browse" section in the middle column of the page. Click on that link to access the E-Books Database.
Two Ways of Finding E-BooksThis is the main search and browse interface for the E-Books Database. We can see that there are two ways of finding an e-book:
Searching for an E-BookIn our example, we can do a search for the title. Searching for an e-book is easy. Simply type in some keywords for the book you want, and click on the "Search" button:
We can see that this search returned 5 results:
We can then click on the links on this page to access the book.
