Harvey Cushing: A Journey Through His Life
Gallery of Portraits, Drawings of the Brain, and Uniforms
The exhibit at Cushing/Whitney Medical Library included a gallery in the hallway of portraits of Cushing and of Cushing's original drawings for publication when he was at Johns Hopkins. A large case near the entrance to the Historical Library contained Cushing's scrubs and white coat, his military uniform, and a robe and hat made especially for his receiving an honorary degree at the University of Edinburgh. These items of clothing were lent for the exhibit by Manuscripts & Archives, Sterling Memorial Library, Yale University.
