2007 Journal Migration to E-Only

Since 2006 the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library's policy has been to migrate our journal collection from print to electronic-only access whenever possible. The library continues to maintain approximately 360 print journals for 2007. These remaining print subscriptions are divided into 239 “core” journals for long-term retention in print, and 120 “print-only” journals where acceptable online access is not yet available.

Core journals were identified using the following tools: Brandon Hill Small Medical Library, Brandon Hill Nursing lists and the Abridged Index Medicus, plus a selective list of key titles in the basic sciences. Print-only journals subscriptions continue to migrate to electronic-only following the Guidelines for Shifting Journals from Print to Electronic-only Access.
