The Medical Library uses CCP Solutions as its vendor for photocopy and print management. All patrons wishing to print or photocopy in the library and Computer Resource Laboratory (CRL) will need a CCP copy card. CCP copy card readers on photocopiers and at the printing paystations will deduct $0.07 per page for photocopies and prints and $0.50 per page for color prints from the value of patrons' cards.
CCP copy cards may be purchased from card dispensers in the library. One is located in the Information Room, another in the Computer Resource Lab (CRL), and four more in the center of the journal stacks on Lower Level 1. Most dispensers require $1.00 bills to purchase cards. These cards are valued at $0.60, since a $0.40 charge is applied for the reusable card when it is initially purchased. CCP copy cards can be revalued in $1, $5, $10 or $20 increments at the same vending machines. You may add value to a CCP copy card at any CCP vending machine.
Medical, Physician Associate (PA), and first-year BBS students are allotted three CCP copy cards annually (one card given at a time, 600 copies total) plus Medical and PA students receive two additional cards in the year the student writes a thesis. Students may pick up the student CCP copy cards for personal use at the Medical Library Circulation Desk.
The Medical Library has 7 black and white photocopiers available for patron use, including one located in the rear of the Morse Reading Room on the main level.
Six photocopiers are found on Lower Level I in the journal stacks. Three copiers are conveniently located adjacent to where journal titles A-C are shelved and three more where journal titles J-Z are shelved.
Three black and white laser printers are located in the Information Room on the main level and two more black and white laser printers are located in the CRL. A color laser printer that is accessible from any computer in the library is located in the Circulation Desk area. The color printer is also remotely accessible from any laptop in the library.
Three scanners, one located in the Information Room and two (one Mac, one Windows) located in the CRL, are available for patron use. The library does not provide color photocopying, so patrons are encouraged to use either one of the scanners to create a JPEG or PDF file that can then be sent to the color printer.
