Staff from the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library have prepared several tools to assist you in doing a high quality review of the literature in your area of interest. These have been constructed in consultation with Yale's Human Investigation Committee (HIC) with a special eye toward the literature review needs of principal investigators in mind. That said, anyone doing research should find value in the information on these pages.
These are meant to be guidelines and suggestions for best practice. Librarians are available for consultation on both general matters of technique and database selection as well as specific search strategies. There are also regularly scheduled library classes for those who wish to improve their searching skills.
