Clinical Workstation Resources

The Yale-New Haven Hospital Clinical Workstations provide clinicians with access to clinical systems, policies and procedures and electronic information resources (books, journals and databases). Specially configured Clinical Workstations are located throughout the YNHH campus. Only the Clinical Workstation computers provide access to ALL of the resources listed on the Clinical Workstation Home Page. [page restricted to Yale-New Haven Medical Center computers]

Access from Non-Clinical Workstation Medical Center Computers
Access to selected hospital resources is available from many Medical Center computers. For specific information on the availability of resources and applications, consult the page Clinical Workstation Resources on Medical Center Computers [page restricted to Yale-New Haven Medical Center computers]

Any computer at the Yale-New Haven Medical Center Network with a Web browser can access resources provided by Yale's Cushing/Whitney Medical Library. Many of the pages and external links on the Library's extensive Web site are accessible by the public, although some are restricted to computers on the Medical Center network.

Remote Access for Yale-New Haven Medical Center Affiliates

  • For information on Remote Access to YNHH Clinical Workstation Resources for YNHH clinicians, contact the YNHH MIS Help Desk at 688-HELP or hlpdesk@ynhh.com.
  • The Yale Medical School's ITS-Med Department offers Internet access to affiliates of the academic medical center. A Yale School of Medicine PPP account will provide access to School of Medicine resources, including those provided through the Library.
  • The Yale School of Medicine's Cushing/Whitney Medical Library offers remote access to databases and its collection of electronic books and journals through a Proxy Server. Any employee, student or affiliate of the Yale-New Haven Medical Center with existing Internet access through a commercial ISP (AOL, Snet, ATT, etc) can use the proxy server to access restricted library resources. Connecting through the proxy server will provide access equivalent to a computer physically located on the Medical School network
