Jing Jin PhD, Post-doctoral Associate
After graduating from Ronald Montelaro's lab at the University of Pittsburgh, in 2007 I joined Walther's lab to study retrovirus transmission using state-of-art live cell imaging techniques and high-throughput screening systems. I am working with colorful viruses and cells in the lab, and to balance this I like everything else in black and white. My motto: "Haste makes waste!".

Pradeep Uchil PhD, Post-doctoral Associate
Pradeep recieved his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India. Apart from his passion for cricket and movies (a very typical Mumbaite) he likes to delve into uncovering the Unknowns. In his current endeavor, he has the spotlight on the TRIM family of proteins due to their antiretroviral activity and the role in regulating innate immunity pathways. My motto: "Do it right, or else do it twice!"

Peng Zhong, Graduate Student
Coming a long way from Fudan University, China, I joined Walther's lab in summer 2008 to work in an exciting lab and also to find a second home away from Shanghai. My current work is to initialize Kinase Inhibitor Screening to figure out mechanisms underlying retrovirus cell-cell transmission driven by filopodial bridges--expect the unexpected hits in order to dig into the retrovirus beautiful strategies to spread.
