Contrast Adaptation Demo

This is a demonstration of contrast adaptation - to start the demo, click on the image below. Please keep your eyes fixated on the central cross during the demo.
You should notice that the bottom two screens either disappear or have strong afterimages following the adaptation
to the high contrast stimulus.

For best results, your screen color resolution should be at least 16 bit - 24 or 32 bit are preferable.
