Education1983, B.A., University of California, Los Angeles Research InterestOur group uses functional magnetic resonance imaging and cognitive activation paradigms to study brain functional sequelae of substance use in adolescents. Our recent work has focused on sequelae associated with use of nicotine, cannabis and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). We employ longitudinal study designs to examine the relationship between changes in brain function and psychosocial and cognitive outcome and treatment response.
