The Suburbs . . . includes towns such as East Haven, Hamden, West Haven, Branford, Guilford, Madison . . . all located within minutes of New Haven and offers a wide variety of housing options ranging from modern to classic New England homes.

In general, cost of living is 1/3 - 1/2 of rates in nearby New York and Boston.
