Droplet Precautions Discontinuation
Influenza

Droplet Precautions can be discontinued when symptoms (fever, cough, etc.) have resolved.

Invasive Meningococcal (Neisseria meningitidis) Disease

Meningococcal meningitis
Meningococcal bacteremia
Meninococcal pneumonia
Droplet Precautions can be discontinued after 24 hours of effective antibiotic therapy has been given.

Invasive Hemophilus influenzae Disease

Hemophilus meningitis
Hemophilus pneumonia (in infants and small children)
Hemophilus epiglottitis
Droplet Precautions can be discontinued after 24 hours of effective antibiotic therapy has been given.
